2011-2012 League Guidelines and Rules of Play
Divisions (Subject to change - still in formation):
12-and-under Intermediate
12-and-under Advanced
14-and-under Intermediate
14-and-under Advanced
18-and-under Intermediate
18-and-under Advanced
One winner of each division will advance to Sectional Playoffs.
Each team will play at least 6 matches.
Any sectionally ranked player with over 200 points must play in an advanced division.
Rosters:
Minimum team roster size is 3 boys and 3 girls. Maximum is 10 players total.
Players must remain age-eligible through Aug. 31st, 2012.
Players must be USTA Junior members through June 30th, 2012.
Team Matches:
Teams must bring at least 2 boys and 2 girls to a team match.
No player can play more than two individual matches at a team match.
Playoff eligibility:
A player must have played in at least one individual match in at least 3 team matches to qualify for playoffs.
To qualify for playoffs, a team must have at least 3 eligible boys and 3 eligible girls.
Team Match Format (subject to change):
a) Each team match will be played on two courts for two hours.
b) A team match will consist of the following 5 individual matches: girls’ doubles, boys’ doubles, girls’ singles, boys’ singles, mixed doubles.
c) Each individual match will be one 9-game total, no ad pro-set.
d) Unless mutually agreed otherwise by both team captains, girls and boys doubles will be played first simultaneously, followed by girls and boys singles. Mixed doubles will be played last.
e) Team match winner will be team with most games won in all 5 individual matches.
f) A ten-minute team warm-up will be allowed prior to the first match.
g) A 5-minute player warm-up is allowed prior to the second and third round of matches.
TennisLink:
Captains must register teams and complete rosters on TennisLink by Jan 31st.
Captains must have Jr. USTA #s of all players and a credit card in order to register team.

RULES OF PLAY
Matches will be nine games TOTAL, no ad.
Cumulative game scoring will determine the match winner. Should there be a tie at the end of either League play or the Championships, head-to-head competition will decide the winner.
Players will be defaulted if more than 15 minutes late for an individual match they are scheduled for.
On court coaching is allowed between changeovers only and only by the designated coach.
Coaches/captains must exchange line-ups before the team match begins.
NO player substitutions may be made once a match has begun
Match play is continuous
Coaches/captains must sign official score sheets upon match completion
Scores must be reported to the League Coordinator no later than 3 days after a match is completed.
All unresovled disuptes will be settled by the on-site USTA umpire, whose decision is final.
